Design FX Remote Recording, a combination of technology, creativity, and mobility rolled into one presents its award Winning remote recording truck. The truck, equipped with a custom 44-input API console, made its debut at the 1991 MTV Music Awards, has continued a pattern of successes in both music recording and broadcast. The Design FX Remote Recording division has traveled it’s crew internationally from Canada to Mexico and many points in between. Design FX Remote Recording has a very unique advantage: as a division of a leading equipment rental company, the remote truck can access a hugely extensive menu of items, from mixers to microphones, outboard gear to hard disk recording systems. The synergy between the truck and the rental operation is significant to any type of user in any application, which allows their clientele to pick from a vast array of recording formats and platforms like Pro Tools to multi-track machines, either analog or digital. Over a decade and a half, the truck has been associated with many award winning projects, including the Emmy Award for Best Sound For A Special Presentation, Natalie Cole’s “Unforgettable--With Love”. And a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Album, Dianne Reeves, "In the Moment". Additionally, the truck has received five Emmy nominations, various TEC Award nominations and Golden Reel Awards. Additionally, the mobile studio has recorded a myriad of live shows including; The Playboy Jazz Festival, The Academy Awards, The Grammy’s and a collection of MTV and VH-1 specials.
